The Minister, Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources, Hon. Elijah Julaki Muchima, MP oversees policy matters, preparation of the annual budget and implementation plan, the preparation and implementation of the strategic plan, among other tasks. Therefore, the Permanent Secretary and the Commissioner of Lands work closely with the Minister to ensure that the policy and strategic direction of the Ministry is consistent with government policy.

Hon. Elijah Julaki Muchima is a Member of Parliament for Ikelengi Constituency.

He was appointed on Tuesday 7th September, 2021. He is the UPND National Chairperson for Security. Hon. Muchima is passionate on issues relating to the promotion of a corrupt free land sector and the inclusion of women in social economic development of the country.
